Interesting point made by Tomasz Tunguz in Back to text: How AI Might Reverse Web Design:
What if the future of the web is exactly how it started : pure text websites? But text for robots, not text for humans.
Assumed here is that AI agents will improve faster than websites we visit for transactional use cases like booking travel, events or accommodations.
My guess is that the end user experience will not improve in the long run. The elements of enshitification will probably move to the AI agent front-end.
But hopefully, the independent web will thrive.
